-Birmingham-Southern College and the University of West Bohemia, Institute of Art and Design, have signed a formal agreement of affiliation and spaces are open for all Birmingham area university students interested in studying art during the summer at the institute.
-From April 26-May 1, 2007 we hosted Mayor Mayor Pavel Rodl, City Councillor Petra Fischerova and City Staffers Stana Boudnikova and Milada Soukupova. While here they participated in the Salute to Czech Republic; met with the Mayor and City Council and toured Birmingham historic sites as well as met with local business leaders. We discussed many possible future exchanges. The Salute to Czech Republic by the Birmingham International Center was a major success.
